JailHost
Know what precisely ‘JailHost’ signifies. Uncover the advantages from enabling this option for your hosted domain names.
It's not uncommon for many users to use weak passwords because they're much easier to remember or to use scripts, templates and plugins that are not updated for a long period of time. In either of these situations, it will not be difficult for a hacker to take control of the Internet site and after that to take control of other Internet sites that are hosted within the very same account. To prevent such a scenario, we have added an excellent security option known as JailHost. It limits the access that a script has exclusively to its own folder, so in the event that one of your Internet sites is compromised, the attacker will see its content, but won't be able to see any other content in your account, thus the damage will be minimal. Of course, using JailHost will not substitute the safety measures you need to take by keeping your scripts up-to-date and using long and complex passwords, but it'll allow you to limit the damage to one site only.
JailHost in Cloud Hosting
You can take full advantage of JailHost with every single cloud hosting plan that we offer and protect your websites against attacks really easy. Every single domain and subdomain in the Hepsia Control Panel that comes with our packages has a separate folder and contrary to what often happens with other Control Panels, the content is not mixed up in a single main folder, so keeping your sites separate is far easier. Enabling JailHost for any website takes only a few clicks, so even if you do not have much experience, you will not need any specific skills to be able to maintain your Internet sites secure. The option isn't active by default in case that you intend to use some script which needs access to a different folder in your account. In case you use JailHost, the rest of the sites that you have will be protected, but even a hacked one will not remain affected for too long because we'll have several daily backup copies for it all of the time, so that we could quickly restore it.
