If you’d like to transfer a domain from one domain name registrar to another, you will have to go through a few security steps. One of them is getting a unique EPP authorization code from the present domain registrar – on the condition that you are the registrant, since the code is sent to the domain owner’s email and no one else can see it. You will need to provide this code to the new registrar, otherwise they won’t be able to initiate the domain transfer. The EPP codes are case-sensitive and may include digits or special symbols such as dots or commas, which can be easily mistyped, so make sure you copy and paste the right code. As an additional protection measure, the transfer code for a domain may be altered regularly. Some registrars call this code a domain password, an Auth key or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain name that you’ve registered through us with just a few mouse clicks from the same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to manage your cloud hosting account. Once you visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domains neatly shown in alphabetical order. If a certain extension supports transfers between registrar companies with an EPP code, you will see an EPP button to the right of the respective domain. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain name in question. If you want, you can update the contact details, including the email, without having to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the currently entered email is no longer valid.
