When the Dot NET generic domain extension was first launched in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Considering the fact that there were no particular requirements about the usage of the top-level extension, though, dot NET domains were reserved and used for different purposes and by a lot of people. This TLD represents an ideal alternative to .COM, notably if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not free for registration.

Obtaining a .NET domain name with our firm is as easy as a breeze and takes just a couple of minutes, considering that we are partners with an ICANN-approved registrar. You can register such a domain for a period between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it once the transfer process is finished. Transfers are available for all domains, which are at least 60 days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have an EPP transfer key – security measures introduced by the dot NET Registry to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily edit the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this info to be accessible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to obtain your actual contact information.
