.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered third-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special rules on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
